Hi, I'm Emily
I am a registered dietitian who grew up in ND, have bounced all around the US, and currently live in Alaska. I started in the medical field where my access to patients was after they became ill. I have seen what years of poor diet, ignoring the body's natural communication, and trying to survive in this fast paced, over processed world is doing to our overall health and waistline. My frustrations grew with the current idea of health, and how best to treat it, by throwing chemicals and medications at problems and never reaching the underlying cause. Seeing that the role I play had very little impact on people’s lives when they have reached the end, I knew there had to be another way. I broke off from the system that keeps people sick and created my space here. I see health as a choice that is often seen as a last priority, expensive, confusing, and hard to maintain, but there is a growing community who want answers, who want to avoid illness, who don’t want to add another medication to their routine, and who genuinely want to feel good. That’s where my new role comes in. I bring focus to people who may already be having symptoms but don't know where to begin, for those who wants to focus more on themselves to prevent illness in the first place, and those who just want to maintain their health. I help others to simplify diet, clear the air on all the diet misconceptions, bring health to the front and center of our lives. I focus on the body as a whole, because our bodies do not operate on an individual organ approach. Everything works together and by looking at the body as one, addressing underlying stressors, sleep patterns, fluid/food intake, lifestyle, thoughts, and patterns, we are able to get to the bottom of habits. I strive to ensure all my clients are able to find the best versions of themselves, have confidence in what their bodies are capable of, and promote self healing at every level!
